this song. it’s so goddamn devastating, and the more i learn about neppy the more accurate it must’ve been to how they were treated, though it makes it hard because i’m not fully sure how they identify. the most i’ve always heard is they/them, but they also mention gender dysphoria in there too, and phantasmaphilia’s picture makes them look like they’ve been on hrt for a little while.
but maybe they really are seen as a “dollish boy,” and maybe they see no need to insist on a greater identity for themselves if this brings them comfort from others.
