oh my god what is that opening sound
why is it so shrill!
”Music for Jane & George Jetson’s baby. :-D”
★★ sleepy time is really cute
★ the music box is a bit shrill but hey
yeah so it’s like maybe babies like this? they haven’t really been conditioned toward western musical styles and sounds yet, so it’s entirely possible.
it just gives me a headache.

music is a language, just like any other!
and you wouldn’t want your kid to grow up… dumb, would you?
though lullaby is insipid
★ sleepy time is better though
★ and music box honestly sounds like the sort of thing that should be considered charming and inspiring of the imagination.
though the question of whether we should consider music to be a language also becomes intertwined with the question of which language we should be teaching our children. like, i can’t help but think about tantacrul’s one video which argues that we should be giving kids more complex music, because their internal language centers would be able to latch onto it and eventually utilize it more proficiently. and that makes sense, though also, does that align with the allotted function of music, whatever that might be?
(but then again maybe that allows them to one day end up the way i am with english: proficient enough to decide how i wish to apply my inability to communicate)
