★ j’obtiens toujours ce que je veux. i actually really love this instrument collection. not sure if i love her delivery over it but hey.
though in comix she just sorta floats over the rest of the instrumentation and there’s no effort to blend the two.

there is a very real chance that this will jump real high up my favorite albums list. probably not all the way up to the top, but prettty far from where it is now.

i wanna be an asshole and say that some of these songs are proto-picopop, if only because i cannot think of a good contemporary equivalent to this. especially for 1980, there’s nothing quite so twinkly, quite so chipper… perhaps even in the idol/kayokyoku sphere? it’s even french too, so you could feed it into the shibuya-kei influence chain, even if you have to stuff it in there.
